MP CALLS FOR EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS ON DANGERS OF DRIVING Local MP Russell Brown wants the Scottish Government to introduce a pre-driver education programme to schools in Scotland, to reduce the number of young driver road deaths. The MP has written to Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Education, Mike Russell to call on him to consider introducing a pre-driver education programme to schools targeted at 14-16 year olds. The programme would involve pupils being taught in schools about the importance and danger of driving, to prepare them for formal driver training.
